Connecting Career Awareness to the Next Step CVXR at the U.S. Dept. of Labor Tech Expo
By Matthew Chaussee, CEO & Co-Founder, CareerViewXR Career awareness is a powerful tool that can go far beyond simply showing someone a job. When applied in the right contexts and through the right partners, it helps students understand how careers connect to education, training, apprenticeships, employers and opportunities in their own communities. That was the message I brought to Washington, D.C., when CareerViewXR was selected as just one of a handful of exhibitors at the U.S. Department of Laborβs Tech Expo held on July 22. To help align this message to real instructional use, we invited Lorie Campbell, Education Specialist from Wilson Education Service Center, to join our booth. Lorie spoke firsthand about how her organization is using CareerViewXR across dozens of schools, which naturally shifted the conversation from what the technology looks like to what effective implementation can actually accomplish.

Keeping Up With CareerViewXR

The summer is one of our busiest times as a team. If you don't see us out and about at an event or filming with an employer, we're likely buzzing around the office preparing for the next adventure!
One of our most prominent recent events was North Dakota Governors' Cup, of which we were the title sponsor. Over two days, representatives from organizations across ND and beyond came together in Medora, ND for conversations, friendly competition, and a shared commitment to our future workforce. This year's event raised $200,000 for ND Career Builders, a scholarship and loan repayment plan for students and recent grads pursuing employment in in-demand occupations across ND. We were extremely proud to sponsor this endeavor and hope to see more familiar faces again next year!
Speaking of filmings - we've been here, there, and everywhere over the past few months - including:
